Audition Skills Course

This intensive five-day course is designed to prepare students aged 15+ for the process of auditioning for full-time musical theatre training courses. Students will participate in a range of workshop-style classes covering fundamental dance technique and vocabulary, technical singing, acting through song, script work and improvisation, guidance for finding solo vocal material for auditions and for creating a solo dance routine.

Summer Performance Course - Dance or Musical Theatre
31st - 5th August 2023

This six-day course is for young performers aged 12-18 and is held at the Laine Studios in Epsom. Students choose to specialise in either dance or musical theatre and will experience a mixed timetable of technical classes, workshops and rehearsal sessions, culminating in an end-of-week performance. The course is delivered by a team of resident Laine teaching faculty members and external industry professionals. A mid-week theatre trip is also made available to summer course students at an additional cost.
Accommodation: Limited accommodation can be arranged in local family homes and Hotels. We can provide a list of local accomodation on application. Please note, Laine Theatre Arts can not be held responsible in any way for any bookings related to accomodation whilst attending the course.
