Betty Laine OBE who founded Laine Theatre Arts in 1974, is a member of the Grand Council of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.

Her enthusiasm and love of the theatre and dance in all its aspects are shown in the versatility, dedication and successes of her students. She entered the theatre and television as a soloist dancer, singer and actress.

Her combined experience in theatre, television and the teaching profession makes her unique in the training of students and children. She aims to achieve a personal rapport with each student and, by her total professionalism, endeavours to develop their individuality to the fullest extent.

Her day-to-day involvement with West End managements enables her to tailor the training to meet the current needs of the professional theatre.

The College demands self-discipline, a sense of responsibility, personal grooming and a respect of values all of which will become an integral part of the students characters.
